Abstract Poppy Supplies list

IN THIS LESSON

Learn about supplies and materials

I tried to keep the supplies to a minimum. I’ll be using just one watercolour paint set, feel free to use whatever watercolour paints you have. Using a watercolour paint set is ideal for starting out as it already has some pretty colours premixed and ready to go.

I will be using some basic round watercolour brushes in 2 sizes. Don’t worry about what sizes you have, however, I recommend you have a larger one and a smaller one.

Paper is also really important. If you can try to use 100% cotton paper.

I think it's important to start by saying that you DO NOT need to go out and buy everything in order to get started. It takes time to work out what materials work well for you. Try using the materials you have already, you may find that you start using them in different ways and they may work well for you.

I am also constantly finding new materials to work with, so, have fun and enjoy collecting and exploring supplies. Make it part of your journey and part of the fun.

Supply Links

I love using Jackson's Art as my go-to supplier in the UK. They carry an excellent range of products and also ship worldwide.

I have also included links to Amazon, Blick Art Supplies & Ken Bromley Art Supplies.

Where I couldn't find the exact product across all three stores, I have tried my best to suggest an equivalent or something very similar.

* I just wanted to let you know that some of the links are affiliate links, which means that if you do decide to make a purchase through them, as an Amazon, Blicks and Jackson's Art associate, I'll earn a small commission on qualifying purchases. Your support means the world to me and allows me to keep sharing awesome things with you!
